Bad Kitty has Launched!

Bad Kitty v1.0 is in the App Catalog

On Friday morning, Bad Kitty got approved and became available in the WebOS app catalog. Since then, a lot of you have shared your comments, feedback, and ideas. I have to say that all of you guys are really great! Very positive and honest feedback. Thank you. These days, it is very easy for people to respond back with negative and just plain terrible things to what you have put out there, but I am HAPPY to say that not 1 person has commented back with anything non-constructive. So a very big THANK YOU to you all, the WebOS community! Thank you for making the launch day really great. It has inspired myself and Jeremy to continue to support Bad Kitty and also start to think of other things that we can bring to you.

What is in v1.0 and what is coming up

So we are at 1.0. I have always thought of a 1.0 of anything as a foundation for what we could build upon. That is no different for Bad Kitty. We have a very solid foundation to add new features and make enhancements to the user experience. So what is in 1.0? We have:

    * Top notch security using twitters preferred oAuth. This is so that you don't have to share your password with Bad Kitty. This makes sure that you feel secure using our app to browse your accounts.
    * Type to tweet. This is one of my favorite features. To tweet using Bad Kitty, just fire it up and start typing. If you have 1 account, the tweet will default to that account. If you have multiple accounts, you type, then set the account (or accounts) you want to send from. It should always be that easy.
    * Tweet from Multiple Accounts. Post the same tweet to multiple accounts without copy and paste or re-tweeting. When you start a new tweet, just check off the accounts you want to tweet from, tweet, send, done.

You have these features, in addition to what you would expect in a typical twitter client. There are a few things that are missing, and we know about them. We are working HARD to make this a fully featured, but at the same time, a wonderful experience when you use twitter. We have a roadmap and these are some features that are coming up in 1.1.

    * Auto-refresh with background notifications
    * Image previews
    * Lists
    * Choose your font-size

1.1 should be available soon. Just keep following us on twitter for updates.

Buy Bad Kitty & help Haiti relief efforts

This is important to us. For the first week (Feb. 5th - Feb. 12th), we will be donating 10% of everything we earn to the Red Cross Haiti Relief efforts. We thought it was a good idea to do it this way so that you get a great app and at the same time help make a difference.

New website is on it's way

So with new updates coming, we also have a new web site in the works that will keep you informed of releases and current and upcoming features. We will be flipping the switch on that shortly.

Lastly, we want to hear from you! If something is broken, let us know. A feature that you wish was in Bad Kitty, lets hear it. A tweak that you think would make the app perfect, we are all ears.
